How To Be Parisian..wherever you are!

Bonjour mes belles!

The other night while I was organizing my closet (like it seems that I do far too much), I noticed that I have one too many midi skirts, striped sweaters, red shoes..For a second, I wondered if Taylor Swift wrote " Bad Blood" about me for stealing clothes from her closet!
Now don't get me wrong, I'm definitely more of a Cote D'Azur kinda girl. I was born on the Mediterranean & I am a Pisces so I love beachy looks that are effortless and airy. But there's something so timeless and romantic about Parisian style.

Here are a few of the looks I put together in a flatlay. Bisous!
Sweater: J Crew Jeans:Bershka  Purse: Kate Spade  Shoes: Zara  Necklace: H&M
Denim jacket: Gap  Skirt: F21 Shirt: J Crew Shoes: Nine West  Necklace: H&M
Shirt: J Crew  Skirt: Mango  Shoes: Zara
Shirt: Club Monaco   Skirt: H&M  Purse: Kate Spade  Shoes: Nine West

Update: A reader asked me how to wear a midi skirt without looking like a mom:

" I just purchased this midi length pleated and perforated white skirt at Zara. I think it looks very girly. Can you give your advice to wear it at work without looking like my mom? I am petite"

Here are my thoughts on how to make it work for your petite frame..

I think “feminine” would describe this skirt better than “girly” because this length gives it a very mature kind of clothing article. Indeed when you are short, it is not easy to wear midi length. It would be best to wear it with some heels as I have shown in the flatlay. I would also pair it up with items that are not too retro in order to make it look modern.
